The file name of the fax message can also receive the value of the Bar Code for identification. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) can be developed to read the contents of the fax and the values can be transmitted to internal applications or used to route the fax internally. As a result, workflow processes increase downstream with fewer errors from manual keying of data from faxes.
